My style

I like adding a simple twist to a plain outfit: bright tights, funky jewelry, vest, scarf, nail polish.

About me

I applied to the Condé Nast summer internship program in the middle of my spring semester at Miami University of Ohio and received a call from the program director, Emily, while sitting in my Victorian Literature class. I looked down at my phone and saw a 212 area code, shouted “New York is calling!”, and dashed out of the classroom to answer it. When Emily asked me what my magazine preference was, I didn’t hesitate to request a fashion publication. When she called mid-finals week to tell me I had been placed at TEEN VOGUE, I sidelined my studies to celebrate with friends.

I can’t think of a more inspirational moment to be part of TEEN VOGUE. The magazine has transformed into so much more than just its issues, and this summer, I will have the opportunity to work on its innovative and interactive programs, like TEEN VOGUE Fashion University and the TEEN VOGUE Haute Spot.

The New York City location only adds to the extraordinariness of this internship. Everywhere you walk in the city is its own fashion show and cultural entertainment. I spend my after-work hours hitting jazz clubs and music festivals, never eating in the same restaurant twice, and waiting in the tkts booth line for discount Broadway tickets. And, of course, pining down Fifth Avenue.
