My style: Mix Master…I always go for a contrast of hard and soft…I might pair up a feminine floral skirt, with a masculine tailored vest or wear a really structured motorcycle jacket with a ton of pearl and rhinestone accessories.
About me: I have been a TEEN VOGUE subscriber since the day the magazine launched in 2002 and have been sketching fashion designs since the 3rd grade! After gaining interest in writing, I got my start @ TEEN VOGUE in the Fashion Closet last summer. Being an intern at TEEN VOGUE has been a dream come true for me because I get to interact with all of my favorite brands and activities.
Daily Reads: WWD, WhoWhatWear.com, Sartorialist, and of course…TEENVOGUE.com!
Designers I adore: After studying in Milan for a semester, I have to say, I have a soft spot for European designers such as Prada, DSquared2, Balmain, Miu Miu, Chanel and Gucci. During Milan Fashion week I actually had the chance to attend the Gucci Fall Show. It was amazing! I also love Marc Jacobs and DVF.
Wardrobe Staples: My black lace up gladiator sandals, Rhinestone Necklaces, scarves…especially when tie dyed and my LV speedy bag.

Hi Kelly! My name is Kaitlyn. I am immensely interested in working with some aspect of the fashion industry. I wanted to attend the Fashion U weekend this October so badly, but it seems that I have missed the application deadline. Do you have any advice on getting started in the fashion industry? I live, breath, and sleep fashion. Whether it is styling, doing make-up, hair, or sketching, I can’t get enough. I would love to hear your advice on getting my foot in the door! Thank you!
